Are my medical records kept private and confidential?

Your medical file is handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. Our staff are bound by strict confidentiality requirements as a condition of employment regarding your medical records. All of our eye specialists abide strictly to the Privacy Act.

Ordinarily we will not release the contents of your medical file without your consent.

What should I expect during my first visit?

The best and only way to find out which treatment is right for you, is to consult one of our ophthalmologists who will listen to your needs, examine you and provide you with educated advice. They will also tell you what you need to know about the treatment you are interested in or recommend another to meet your needs and goals.

Fees & Insurance

What about your fees?

Information on our current fee structure is available from our office.

What about insurance cover?

We will give you an estimate of your gap prior to your surgery.

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure your health fund will adequately cover your surgery.

What are your acceptable means of payment?

Bank check, personal check, cash or credit cards (MasterCard, VISA and American express) are acceptable means of payment.

The costs of surgery relate to:

  1. Surgeon and assistant surgeon
  2. Anaesthetist
  3. Hospital
  4. Ancillary charge (pharmacy, non-rebated instruments etc)

Our office can advise you with all the fees and give you some indication of the costs of the other people involved in your care.
